Pop princess Britney Spears visits David Letterman to update him on her pregnancy with second child, Jayden James, by Kevin Federline. Months after this, she would divorce the child’s father, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Kevin Federline used to be Britney’s backup dancer before becoming her romantic interest in 2004. Their relationship was consummated in a secret marriage on September 23 at a house in Studio City, California.

Spears gave birth to Jayden James on September 12, 2006. Whilst pregnant, she posed nude for the cover of Harper’s Bazaar in August 2006. Before Jayden James, Kevin and Britney had sired another son, Sean Preston, in September 14, 2005.

Previously, Spears was married to childhood friend Jason Alexander, whom she wed in an officially sanctioned ceremony at Las Vegas in January 2004, only to file a divorce after a shockingly short 55 hours later.

Spears had earlier dated pop star Justin Timberlake, a fellow alumnus of Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club. Recently she has been linked with non-showbiz individuals Adnan Ghalib and Isaac Cohen.

Beginning in August 2007, Spears and Federline became embroiled in a custody battle over custody of their children. In the end, Federline was granted custody of the boys, while Spears was sent to UCLA Psych Ward to undergo mental tests.
