Popular English actor and film producer Daniel Wroughton Craig was born on the 2nd of March 1968 in Liverpool Road, Cheshire, England. He became a household name right after he was chosen as the 6th actor to play the fictional character of James Bond in the Eon Productions film series. Daniel Craig made his James Bond debut in the movie Casino Royale, which premiered in 2006. For his performance in the said movie, Daniel Craig earned a nomination for a BAFTA award.

Although he gained popularity right after he was cast as James Bond, Daniel Craig was first known for his appearances in earlier films including The Power of One, Elizabeth, and A Kid in King Arthur’s Court. Apart from this, he also starred in several television episodes such as The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles: Daredevils of the Desert, Zorro, and the Sharpe’s Eagle.

Aside from his Bond movies, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, Daniel Craig also awed the entire entertainment industry with his breakthrough performances in various films including the Road to Perdition (with Tom Hanks), Defiance, Layer Cake, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (with Angelina Jolie), and The Golden Compass (with Nicole Kidman)

Daniel Craig landed his breakthrough role in 1996, when he played the role of Geordie in BBC’s Our Friends in the North. In 1999, he was cast in a TV drama series entitled Shockers: The Visitor. This movie actor and producer also worked alongside several award winning actors and actresses such as Anne Reid, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sienna Miller, Rhys Ifans, and Eric Bana.

In addition, Daniel Craig has also worked alongside Hugh Jackman in a play entitled A Steady Rain, which was shown at the Schoenfeld Theatre. The limited engagement play was opened in previews from September 10, 2009 until December 6, 2009.
